Isabella is a bright and cheerful 9 year-old. She lives in Hong Kong with her brother, parents and two cats.
On 21st August 2025 she was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive subtype of acute myeloid leukaemia (AML).
See the article in the Daily Mail for more details of her story.
Isabella’s AML has a genetic rearrangement which makes it difficult to treat and has a high relapse rate. For Isabella to have the best chance of recovery she needs a type of medication called a menin inhibitor. Menin inhibitors work by blocking the fusion of the leukaemia cells with the protein (menin) that they need to grow. This forces the leukaemia cells to differentiate and die. Menin inhibitors are a lifeline for children like Isabella but they are new and only a few are approved. Menin inhibitors are also exorbitantly expensive, and clinical trials (which make funding available) are limited. To cover the cost of the menin inhibitors we need to raise £ 498,480.
If you are able to help by participating in one of our events making a donation to, or sharing the details of, Isabella’s GoFundMe appeal, that would be amazing.
